2023 Toyota Tundra: Review, Pricing, and Specs
The 2022 Toyota Tundra was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS. So not only is this truck a force to be reckoned with, but it’ll also keep you and your loved ones safe on the road.
The latest Toyota news says that the 2023 Toyota Tundra is a vehicle to keep your eye on, as it takes the 2022 model and builds upon it. As a result, this is the best truck to buy on the market.
Want to find out if it’s a good fit for your needs? Then read on to find out some key details.
2023 Toyota Tundra Price
This truck has an MSRP of $36,965. Admittedly, this starting price is a bit higher than other trucks.
However, considering that the average price of a new pickup truck was $38,361 in 2020, this makes the Tundra a pretty affordable truck. This is especially true when you take into account all its features.
Design
What’s interesting to note is that the Tundra went through its major redesign with the 2022 model. If you liked the looks of that truck, then you’ll be pleased to know that the 2023 model looks pretty much the same.
This is a full-size truck that has a boxed ladder frame and a coil-spring rear suspension. While this gives a smoother ride, it decreases the towing capacity to 12,000 pounds, which is still pretty hefty.
What’s New?
What’s new for the 2023 Tundra is the SX package. This gives the pickup a sleek all-black appearance, dark gray 18-inch wheels, and blacked-out badges. The interior has dark trim pieces.
Do note that it’s only available on SR5 models, either with the Double Cab and a 6.5-foot bed or the CrewMax and a 5.5-foot bed.
Powertrain
You have 2 choices for the powertrain. The first is an i-Force twin-turbo V6 engine that’s capable of either 348 or 389 HP and 405 or 479 lb-ft of torque, depending on the trim you choose.
If you’re trying to be more eco-conscious, then the i-Force Max twin-turbo V6 hybrid powertrain is perfect for you. It’s capable of 437 HP and 583 lb-ft of torque, and you can probably expect this powertrain to be an option for the 2024 Toyota Tundra too.
Either way, the engine’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that comes standard. You’ll also get an automatic limited-slip differential.
Safety
All trims for the 2023 Toyota Tundra come standard with Toyota Safety Sense. This is a safety suite that includes adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert, and more.
There’s a reason why the IIHS named the Tundra as one of the best trucks on the road. With this comprehensive safety suite, you’ll have peace of mind whenever you’re behind the wheel.
Get Yourself a 2023 Toyota Tundra
As you can see, the Tundra is the best truck of 2023. Not only was it an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, but it also has a smooth ride, great towing capacity, and excellent powertrains.
Most importantly, this isn’t an expensive pickup truck. So you’ll be able to purchase a new vehicle without spending a fortune.
