Should You Buy the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is one of the most exciting offerings currently on the market. With seven trim levels, this fuel-efficient and family-friendly SUV is definitely a competitive choice for people at a range of budgets. The 2023 line is noted for having a spacious cabin and really smooth ride, even over the rough terrain the Woodland Edition (new for 2023) was designed to tackle.
Should you invest in the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid? That depends on what you need. But with top of the line safety features and plenty of upgrade options, this may be the new car to beat for people across the market.
Trim Levels
Toyota is offering the RAV4 Hybrid with just one power package, the 2.5-liter inline-four with a CVT and dual electric motor assist. That puts boundaries on what you’re going to do with 219 hp, but that’s enough power for almost everything short of street racing, unless you’re using the abundant cargo space to haul bricks and sand.
Here’s a quick overview of the trim options for 2023:
- RAV4 Hybrid LE:Â This is the base level, with minimal luxury and hardly any sport features at all. The lighter frame makes the LE feel like it’s peppier, but you might miss little touches like leather seats and a sophisticated dashboard interface.
- RAV4 Hybrid XLE:Â The XLE is a major uptick in features from the LE, while still staying close enough to be affordable for most LE customers. At this level, you get standard features like: passive keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED projector headlamps with auto high beams, heated mirrors, blind-spot monitoring and fog lamps.
- RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium:Â This model comes with the optional 12.3-inch digital dash display (up from 7.0 inches on the base and 10.5 on the XSE). The 11-speaker JBL sound system is also available on this trim and up.
- RAV4 Hybrid SE:Â This is the sport trim. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and a power-adjust driver’s seat. The SE also has some slick looking low- and high-beam LED headlights.
- RAV4 Woodland Edition:Â Thw Woodland Edition is new for 2023, and you can expect this off-road package to come with Falken all-terrain tires, front and rear mud guards, an extra 120-volt/100-watt outlet in the cargo space and raised roof rails.
- RAV4 Hybrid XSE:Â The XSE is a luxury/sport option with a power tilt/slide moonroof, auto-dimming mirror and soft ambient lighting.
- RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium:Â This is the upscale version of the XLE, which comes with a sliding moonroof, leather-trimmed steering wheel and knob, power liftgate and integrated LED fog lights.
